★What is the source and production process of your Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Powder?
Our NMN adopts bio-fermentation process with non-GMO raw materials, green and safe, which is different from chemical synthesis, and more suitable for sensitive skin formulas.
★What is the appearance and purity of your cosmetic Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Powder?
It appears as white or off-white crystalline powder, with purity ≥ 99%, low impurity, stable batch consistency.
★Is Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Powder stable in water-based skincare products?
NMN is moderately stable in water at pH 4.0–6.0 and temperatures below 40°C. However, it can degrade over time when exposed to heat, light, or extreme pH (<3.5 or >7.0). To maximize stability: use chelators (EDTA), add antioxidants (vitamin E, ferulic acid), store in opaque, airless packaging, and avoid high-temperature processing. We provide stability data for 12 months under accelerated conditions.
★Can Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Powder be combined with other active ingredients (vitamin C, retinol, AHAs)?
With Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid): Avoid direct combination in same aqueous phase (pH conflict and oxidation risk). Use derivatives (SAP, MAP) or separate phases.
With Retinol: Yes, but add antioxidants to prevent NMN degradation.
With AHAs/BHAs: Only if final pH >4.0. Below pH 3.5, NMN hydrolyzes rapidly.
We offer free formulation consulting to help you design compatible systems.
★Is Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Powder approved for cosmetic use in the EU, USA, and China?
EU: NMN is not listed in CosIng as of 2025, but can be used as a novel cosmetic ingredient subject to safety assessment (Article 11). Many EU brands use it as a “functional active”. We can provide a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR).
USA: NMN is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for dietary supplements, but for cosmetics, it’s allowed as an ingredient with no specific ban.
China (NMPA): NMN is approved for cosmetic use under IECIC 2021 (INCI: Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) with maximum concentration not specified (typical use 0.1-5%). We provide all registration documents.
Important note: As of 2023, NMN is banned as a dietary supplement ingredient in the US (FDA), but this does not affect cosmetic use.
★What is the recommended dosage of NMN in cosmetic formulations?
Serums & ampoules: 1-5% (for anti-aging/repair effects)
Creams & lotions: 0.5-2% (for daily maintenance)
Masks & patches: 3-5% (short-term intensive treatment)
Eye creams: 0.5-1% (gentle for eye area)
We recommend starting at 1% and conducting stability/patch tests before scaling up.
