What is monobenzone?

Monobenzone is a white crystalline powder soluble in alcohol, used to treat uneven skin tone.It is an organic chemical, also known as 4-(benzyloxy)phenol (MBEH), which is a monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone. In vitiligo drugs, the product name of the chemical is Benoquin. It accelerates the excretion of melanin from the cells that produce melanocytes.

The process is unstable and can take up to four months to occur. When this happens, your skin will rejuvenate. By exfoliating, the existing skin tone begins to fade. As a result, the overall hypopigmentation rate increases. However, exposure to sunlight during use will slow down the process.

It is worth noting that after topical use of benzophenone, hyperpigmented skin fades faster than normal skin. In addition, studies have shown that this chemical kills melanocytes, making it more difficult to reverse its effects.4 Benzyloxy phenol price - ZHENYIBIO

Monobenzone is a topical treatment

You should use it 2-3 times a day or as prescribed. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin and rub it gently to let it absorb. It may take up to 4 months to achieve complete decolorization, but after a month of continuous use, results should start to appear.

In order to maintain the desired effect, you should reduce the dose to several times a week. In most cases, people who use Vitiligo Cream twice a week can control dark skin.

Monobenzone makes your skin sensitive to sunlight

To reduce sensitivity and avoid sunburn, be sure to use SPF 30 (or higher) sunscreen after application. It will help if you also avoid tanning and sunbathing. For further protection, always wear protective clothing, especially if you are going to spend a lot of time outdoors.

Monobenzone is used to treat uneven skin appearance due to loss of skin color (vitiligo). Its function is to permanently remove the color of normal skin around the leukoplakia skin. This will help make the skin look more even.

Monobenzone, especially when combined with tretinoin and hydroquinone, can eliminate the presence of melanin in skin cells. In addition to skin bleaching, it is also regarded as one of the most effective treatment options for leukoplakia patients because it can even out skin tone. Unlike kojic acid and hydroquinone, benzophenone is not used to reduce the appearance of freckles, dark spots, jaundice, or sunburn.

You need to apply benzophenone about 2 to 3 times a day to get the desired effect, and you will start to notice a difference in your skin tone in about four months. Monobenzone can cause permanent changes in your skin tone, so be sure to consult a medical professional before you decide to use it.
